Have you ever wondered how to disable comments on WordPress posts and pages? Typically, you will want comments enabled on your blog posts but not on your static pages.
It’s not as intuitive as you might think. In the upper right corner of the WordPress dashboard under your Howdy message is a drop-down titled “Screen Options.” Click the drop down.
If you click that drop-down, a list of check boxes will appear. The choices that show up depend on your theme and installed plugins as shown in the following screenshot:
You will want to make sure the Discussion check box is checked:
Now scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page until you see these check boxes and uncheck “Allow Comments.”
Save your settings and now you have disabled comments for that post or page.
